MEET THE TEAM
Payton McCarthy, Pool Maintenance & Automation: Payton is experienced and certified with most brands, and is a Certified pool operator (CPO). He manages pool maintenance and automation for Blue Water Pools.
Victor Amaral, Pool Construction Project Manager: Victor has decades installing gunite pools and spas in Southeastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and the Hamptons. He is an expert at rebar placement, pool tile installation, gunite application, and pool plastering.
Columbo Rodriguez Licea, Pool Construction Nantucket: Columbo is originally from Mexico and splits time between Dallas and Nantucket. He is a certified SGM Pebble Installer and has over 14 years in pool construction and concrete.
Ian McCarthy- Founder, Ian started in the landscape and pool contracting business on Nantucket Island in 1996 and expanded to Cape Cod in 2000. Over the past three decades, he and his team have worked on projects on Nantucket, from Provincetown to Pocasset, Rhode Island, and the Boston suburbs. Ian attended the Genesis Concrete Pools course in Dallas in 2021.
Ian holds a Business Degree from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. He was born in Washington, DC, and raised between Chevy Chase, Maryland, and Nantucket. He lives on Cape Cod with his wife and two younger kids, Connor and Hazelle. His eldest, Payton, works for Blue Water Pools in maintenance and automation.
Greg Doherty, Pool Construction Superintendent: Greg has been in the pool industry in Massachusetts for over 35 years. He ran a gunite pool company on the South Shore for 20+ years. He has an extensive background in building gunite pools, including rebar reinforcement, pool plumbing, and gunite application.
